5: What to do if the unit's air intake grille is scaling (if any)?
Possible causes include improper water treatment, insufficient drainage, frequent starting and stopping of the fan motor, or high solid concentration in the water.
Solution: Do not use high-pressure washers or wire brushes to remove scale from the grille, as this will damage it. Remove the grille and soak it in the unit's water pan. The chemical agents used in the unit's water treatment will inhibit and dissolve the formed scale. Please note that the soaking time depends on the severity of the scaling. Note: Assuming the use of chemical agents.
6: What to do if the make-up water valve cannot close?
1: Make-up water pressure is too high. The pressure of the mechanical make-up water valve should be controlled between 140kPa and 340kPa. If the pressure is too high, the valve will not close. A pressure reducing valve can be used to lower the pressure. For 3-pin and 5-pin electronic water level controller assemblies, the electric device requires water pressure between 35kPa and 680kPa.
2: Dirt on the threaded rod. Clean the threaded rod.
3: Float ball frozen. Check. If frozen, the float ball or float valve may need to be replaced.
4: Water inside the float ball. Check if the ball is leaking, and replace if necessary.
7: What to do if water continuously sprays from the overflow outlet?
The cause is incorrect water level. Check whether the actual operating water level complies with the recommended water level in the Green State Ice Peak operation and maintenance manual.
