Can a closed cooling tower be used for sewage cooling?

Sewage, in simple terms, is polluted water, including domestic sewage, production wastewater, chemical wastewater, printing and dyeing wastewater, etc., but they all have a common feature: it contains a variety of impurities or chemical components. If this kind of sewage is directly discharged into the environment, it will not only cause the waste of water resources, but also pollute our living environment.

What are the types of air-cooled condensers, and what are their advantages and disadvantages?

The air-cooled condenser is a heat-exchange device used for cooling cold storage facilities, composed of components such as a fan, fan coil unit, heat exchange fins, and a cabinet. Primarily, the heat-exchange configurations are divided into counterflow and parallel-flow types. In the counterflow type, the air intake vents are all located at the lower section, drawing air in, and this design typically offers a larger heat transfer area compared to the parallel-flow type.

How to properly perform daily cleaning of closed cooling towers?

During the operation of closed cooling towers, years of weathering and dust accumulation lead to significant buildup of dirt inside the tower, severely degrading cooling efficiency and seriously affecting the refrigeration performance. Over time, accumulated impurities and aging of the packing material further compromise the system. All these factors not only shorten the cooling tower's lifespan but also necessitate regular cleaning to ensure it can withstand prolonged use effectively.

How are cooling towers classified as counterflow and crossflow?

The structural forms differ: In crossflow (CROSSFLOW), the air and water flow intersect at right angles; whereas in counterflow (COUNTERFLOW), the air and water move in opposite directions—this is the fundamental distinction.

What are the main aspects of water consumption in closed cooling towers?

When using closed-circuit cooling tower equipment, to ensure that the cooling water quality meets national environmental protection standards, a certain proportion of the cooling water must be drained off periodically for replenishment and renewal. In this regard, it's important to control the drainage rate of the closed-circuit cooling tower equipment to 0.3% of the total cooling water volume; alternatively, users may determine the drainage amount themselves according to relevant environmental protection technical guidelines.
