What are the maintenance components of a cooling tower?
The service life of a cooling tower and how to maintain it are very important. Some customers can use it for 8 years, while others can only use it for 5 years. So today, let's talk about it.
The service life of a cooling tower and how to maintain it are very important. Some customers can use it for 8 years, while others can only use it for 5 years. So today, let's talk about it.
1. Water Distribution Pipe
The water distribution pipe must be kept clean and not clogged with soil or scaled. The water distribution pipes of the cooling tower can be removed from the water distributor for easy cleaning.
2. Water Distributor
The accumulation of scale and sediment will hinder the rotation of the water distributor. If the rotation speed is too slow or stops, the water distributor can be disassembled for cleaning and all parts should be checked.
Note: When installing the water distribution pipe, the hole position on the pipe should be at the 15 degrees counterclockwise position or the 5:30 o'clock position when viewed from the outside of the tower towards the center.
3. Tower Body
The tower body is made of materials such as galvanized aluminum zinc and does not require special maintenance. When the surface is dirty, it can be cleaned with soapy water.
4. Water Collection Pan
We try to keep the water collection pan clean, regularly clean the pan and the drain to avoid sediment accumulation in the pan.
5. Heat Dissipation Material
The heat dissipation material does not require special maintenance, just keep it as clean as possible to avoid blockage.
6. Fan
Maintain clearance between the fan blade tips and the fan casing, and regularly check the fan blades for damage.
7. Coating
Check all metal parts for rust. All iron parts of the cooling tower are hot-dip galvanized and are not easy to rust under normal water quality. To ensure long-term use, apply anti-rust paint when necessary.
8. Gear Reducer
When using the reducer, regularly observe for unusual noise, vibration, oil leakage, and electrical current load.
