What should you do if the product malfunctions during use?

1. For induced-draft units, inspect and confirm that the designed external static pressure matches the actual external static pressure. 2. Check that the water level in the drip pan meets the recommended requirements. Note: Air density directly affects the ammeter reading. Lower air density causes the fan to rotate faster, resulting in a higher current value.

In our daily use, we inevitably encounter some issues or malfunctions with cooling towers—so what should we do in such situations? Today, let’s find out together with Oasis Ice Peak.

One: What should you do if the fan motor current is overloaded?

One: Air static pressure decreases.

1. For forced-draft units, check and confirm that the designed external static pressure matches the actual external static pressure.

2. Check that the water level in the pan meets the recommended requirements. Note: Air density directly affects the ammeter reading. Lower air density causes the fan to spin faster, resulting in a higher current value.

2: Electrical issues.

1. Check the voltage across the three terminals of the motor.

2. Check and confirm that the motor is correctly wired according to the wiring diagram, and that the terminal connectors are securely tightened.

3: Fan rotation direction.

Check and confirm that the fan is rotating in the correct direction. If it’s reversing, simply swap any two of the three motor power cable connectors to ensure proper rotation.

Four: Mechanical failure.

When manually turning the motor and fan, they should rotate freely and smoothly. If rotation is obstructed, there may be damage to internal motor components or bearings.

5: Belt tension (if applicable).

Check whether the belt tension is appropriate—too-tight belts can cause the motor to overload in current.

2: What should I do if the motor noise is abnormal?

1. The motor is running on single-phase power. Turn off the motor and try restarting it. If it fails to start again, it may be due to a single-phase power supply—please check the wiring, controller, and motor.

2. Incorrect motor wiring. Check and ensure the motor is wired according to the wiring diagram marked on the motor.

3. Bearing damage. Inspect the grease and replace any damaged bearings.

4. Three-phase imbalance. Check the voltage and current of each phase.

5. Air gap is uneven. Inspect and adjust the mounting bracket or bearing.

6. Rotor imbalance. Adjust the balance.

7. The cooling fan blade is hitting the end cap. Reinstall or replace the fan blade.
